AI Policy

At Additiv Consulting Ltd., we leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the quality, speed, and impact of strategic decisions for our clients. We believe that AI, when guided by human insight and ethical principles, can unlock extraordinary value. This policy outlines our commitment to the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of AI across our consulting practice.

PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY

This AI Policy governs the development, integration, and use of AI technologies and tools by Additiv Consulting Ltd. It applies to all internal operations, client engagements, and AI-powered services, ensuring alignment with legal, ethical, and professional standards.

PRINCIPLES GUIDING OUR USE OF AI

Human-Centered Design

AI at Additiv is used to augment, not replace, human intelligence. We prioritize decision-making that blends machine-driven insights with human judgment and context.

Transparency & Explainability

We strive to ensure that AI-driven insights, outputs, and recommendations are understandable and explainable to clients. We communicate clearly when AI is used, what its role is, and how its conclusions are reached.

Data Privacy & Security

All data used in our AI models is handled in compliance with applicable privacy legislation (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR, or client-specific requirements). We do not train models on client data without explicit consent, and all client data is encrypted, securely stored, and never shared with third parties without authorization.

Fairness & Bias Mitigation

We assess AI tools and outputs for potential bias and discriminatory outcomes. We proactively test and review models to ensure fairness, particularly in high-impact use cases such as customer segmentation, pricing strategies, or predictive analytics.

Accountability

Additiv Consulting takes full responsibility for the recommendations and outcomes resulting from AI-supported decisions. Human consultants remain accountable for all strategic guidance, and AI is never used as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions.

Continuous Oversight & Learning

We continuously monitor and evaluate our AI tools, retraining or retiring models as necessary. Our team stays current on AI best practices, ethics, and legislation to ensure our approach evolves responsibly.

Client Data & AI Usage

We use AI in various ways to support client outcomes, including:

  • Strategic simulations and scenario planning

  • Predictive analytics and forecasting

  • Data clustering and opportunity analysis

  • Text generation and report drafting

  • Brand and market intelligence gathering

Before using AI on client data, we:

  • Obtain clear consent

  • Define scope and limitations

  • Apply rigorous data governance protocols

We never use AI to scrape, replicate, or reverse-engineer proprietary client content or intellectual property.

Third-Party AI Tools

We evaluate all third-party AI tools for:

  • Data handling and retention policies

  • Ethical implications

  • Compliance with laws and regulations

  • Security standards and vulnerability risks

We prefer tools that offer:

  • Transparency in model training

  • User control over data

  • Clear documentation of model limitations

Prohibited Uses of AI

We do not use AI for:

  • Surveillance or monitoring without consent

  • Generating deceptive or manipulative content

  • Replacing professional or legal advice

  • Any decision-making that affects human rights, safety, or legal status without human review

Client Responsibilities

We encourage clients to approach AI adoption thoughtfully. We support their teams with education, implementation guidance, and internal AI policy development when needed. Clients remain responsible for decisions made based on our tools and services unless otherwise contracted.

Policy Governance

This policy is maintained by the leadership team at Additiv Consulting Ltd. It is reviewed and updated annually or sooner in response to:

  • Changes in regulation

  • New technology developments

  • Ethical or risk-related concerns
